A club’s 2024 Player of the Year has made an offer to Totten ham Hotspur, who are in advanced negotiations to sign Dominic Solanke, a striker for Bournemouth.

Spurs are currently in advanced negotiations to sign Bournemouth’s Solanke.
The fact that Spurs are currently in advanced negotiations to sign Solanke, with manager Ange Postecoglou closing in on his desired striker signing, was revealed in a flurry of reports this morning from credible media sources.

Football’s Alasdair Gold. The 26-year-old, who finished last season with 21 goals in all competitions for Bournemouth, has reportedly expressed a “big desire” to play for the team, which will be a huge positive for Postecoglou.

While Bournemouth agrees to sell its talisman for a club-record sum, David Ornstein echoes Gold’s report, saying that Solanke is “desperate” to finalize a move to north London and that talks are still ongoing.

Solanke’s contract contains a £65 million release clause which is only valid for the Premier League top six, and according to GiveMeSport reporter Ben Jacobs, the Cherries are determined to hold for a fee as close to that figure as possible.

Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford, is reportedly considered as a strong backup option for Spurs in place of Solanke should negotiations with the Englishman collapse.

“Tottenham now in advanced talks with Bournemouth over a club-record move for Dominic Solanke,” Jacobs said on X.

“Bournemouth is determined to hold out for a sum as close to the £65 million release clause in Solanke’s contract as possible. Spurs are optimistic that the ongoing conversations will result in an agreement. As @talkSPORT revealed on Thursday, Tottenham also have a concrete interest in Brentford’s Ivan Toney should a deal for Solanke not be finalized.”

With Solanke highly eager on the move, it will be fully down to the clubs to find middle ground in negotiations. In the midst of these negotiations, trustworthy Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has reported that the Lilywhites have been approached about signing a new player.

Matt O’Riley, the Celtics’ 2024 Player of the Year, was offered by Tottenham.
Celtic’s best player Matt O’Riley won their 2024 Player of the Year award in addition to scoring 18 goals and dishing out 13 assists in 37 SPFL starts for the eventual Scottish champions last season.

According to sources, the Hoops value him at over £25 million, and his management is reportedly attempting to get him to relocate south. This week, O’Keefe reports that Tottenham has received an offer from middlemen to buy O’Riley from Celtic, although they are unlikely to accept it at this time.

The Denmark international is drawing serious interest from Brighton, who have reportedly initiated discussions (Daily Mail). O’Riley may have another option for a Premier League landing spot as Brighton has called the player “top-class” and a joy to watch.
