SURPRISING NEWS: A £50 million Sunderland transfer target is being discussed by Birmingham City in…

Jay Stansfield, a 21-year-old striker who was heavily linked to Sunderland a year ago, decided to join Birmingham City on loan instead, where he would net 13 goals in all competitions despite The Blues relegation to League One. Fulham is reportedly listing the Sunderland transfer target at over £50 million amid EFL interest.
In January of last year, the Black Cats were also rumored to be interested in Stansfield, as it appeared Fulham could be able to bring up the England youth international from Birmingham City. But the forward stayed at St Andrews and the move failed to materialize.
Though Darren Witcoop has disclosed that newly relegated Birmingham City wish to bring the player back to the club despite their League One status, several Championship clubs are rumored to be interested in Stansfield.
“Birmingham and Fulham have held talks over a deal for striker Jay Stansfield,” the statement read. At this point, the agreement is not close. This summer, Fulham turned out loan offers from the Championship and demanded more than £50 million.
