SAD NEWS: {LARRY BIRD}.. NBA Hall of Famer: Larry Bird and JJ Redick Would “Mop” the Floor

Mitch Richmond, a Hall of Famer, has heard about all the videos on the Internet with supporters declaring they are “over the ’90s.”

It’s a movement that asserts that players from the past are not able to compete in the modern game. Michael Jordan allegedly would have trouble competing with the new school. LeBron James, in their opinion, would rule the 1980s.

Richmond refers to it as trash.

Richmond stated, “I think it’s very disrespectful, no question about it,” during a Back In The Day Hoops On SI interview. “I don’t see many players giving it the disrespect but I think the fans in this generation, more so, of saying they’re done with the `80s and `90s, don’t respect what was before them.”

Players who criticized the past, like as Gilbert Arenas and JJ Redick, particularly offended Richmond. Redick has been criticizing Larry Bird in the last few years. Bird wasn’t among the top five 3-point shooters in NBA history, according to Redick, who is currently the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
