In addition to the Eagles’ aggressive plans for this year’s AFL Draft, West Coast appears poised to be a key player in this year’s trade and free agency landscape.

Any significant list calls will probably wait until the club’s next senior coach is appointed, since the Eagles have been looking for Adam Simpson’s replacement more and more in recent days.

With some Western Australians previously connected to the Perth club, new list manager Matt Clarke will be trying his hardest to wheel and deal in the midst of the chase to try and pry the club’s desired trade targets west.
