HITC is aware that Bournemouth and Barcelona have reached a deal for the recruitment of a significant defensive player.

In an effort to improve on their strong debut year under the Spaniard, Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth has been quite active throughout the summer transfer window.

The majority of the recent news has been on Dominic Solanke’s possible transfer to Tottenham; according to HITC, the Lilywhites are currently negotiating a deal with the Cherries for the English forward.

As the Cherries try to surge up the table with Iraola, Enes Unal, Luis Sinisterra, and Dean Huijsen of Juventus have all gone to Bournemouth this summer. Now, the South Coast club is closing down on a right-back acquisition.

Julian Araujo and Bournemouth sign agreement
According to HITC sources, Bournemouth and Barcelona have come to a decision about defender Julian Araujo.

The Mexican international who was born in the United States is rumored to have decided to transfer to the South Coast, and the two clubs are reportedly close to finalizing an agreement worth approximately £10 million that will include a sizeable sell-on.

It’s believed that Hansi Flick’s Barcelona is willing to let Araujo depart the team this summer since they’re interested in acquiring Joao Cancelo from Manchester City on a long-term contract.

Cancelo, a Portuguese defender who played on loan at the Nou Camp last season, acknowledged his desire to play for Barcelona again the following year.

According to HITC, Barcelona is willing to let Araujo depart the team because they want to retain Cancelo after his loan period ends this summer.

In the Araujo trade, Bournemouth defeated Tottenham and Manchester United.
HITC is aware that the Cherries were able to complete a deal for the full-back despite opposition from some of the top clubs in the Premier League.

According to sources who spoke with HITC, Araujo was checked out this summer by West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United, all of whom were considering signing him as a right-back.

All three of these teams are eager to sign a right-back, as United and West Ham are vying for Noussair Mazraoui this summer.
