Report: As player presses for a Premier League move, Arsenal could recruit a striker for £100 million.
Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, appears to be planning to leave the team this transfer window, preferring to join the Premier League over Paris Saint-Germain.
Il Mattino sources (via calcionapoli24.it) claim that PSG has made an offer for Osimhen, 25. The player does not want to move to Saudi Arabia, even if only Saudi teams have matched Napoli’s hefty €120 million release clause.
Arsenal may make a move for Osimhen after failing to sign Benjamin Sesko, despite their prior strong interest in the player.
Now, in an effort to strengthen their offense, the Gunners are aggressively reviewing their possibilities. Eddie Nketiah’s sale is expected to bring in more money for the team, which could be used to finance Osimhen’s purchase.
Chelsea appeared to be in the lead in the fight for Osimhen a few months ago, but the West London club has been put off by financial restrictions and the exorbitant asking price.
