Real Betis and Celta Vigo reach an agreement for the signing of a quality striker.

Since Jorgen Strand Larsen moved to Wolves in the Premier League a few weeks ago, Celta Vigo has been searching for a successor. Borja Iglesias of Real Betis has been their main objective throughout, and it appears that they will soon be able to sign him.

Iglesias is practicing with Betis for the upcoming season, but Manuel Pellegrini does not have him in his plans. He has been pressing Celta to sign, and he does prioritize moving to Balaidos, but Rayo Vallecano and Bundesliga clubs have put up a fierce fight.

Thankfully, Celta and Betis have now come to an understanding. According to Diario AS, the 31-year-old attacker will sign a loan agreement after completing weekend medical exams.

Iglesias was a member of Celta’s roster from 2013 until 2017, despite making just two first team appearances. He seems like a great addition to Claudio Giraldez’s team on paper, and if he can get back to his peak performance, everyone will win.
