Morten Jürgens, an Estonian international forward, has joined COVENTRY Blaze.

After three productive seasons playing in Finland with Mestis club Kiekko-Espoo, the 24-year-old now plays for Blaze.
Along with 287 penalty minutes, the 6′ 4in forward scored 55 points (17 goals, 38 assists) in 131 regular season and postseason games.
“Morten is a physical player who plays with a competitiveness that will spark our team this season,” said Kevin Moore, head coach of the Blaze.
“He can shoot well and knows how to take advantage of net front space.” This season, Morten will fit well in with our room as he is a very popular guy among teammates.
Jürgens won both the Mestis and Suomen Cups in 2022–2023, taking home a silver medal in Mestis the year before and a bronze in Mestis the season before.
Jürgens progressed via the youth system in Finland, most notably at Jukurit and Kiekko-Espoo, where he became a professional.
Jürgens has competed for his nation internationally at all youth levels. He just made his debut at the World Championship, where he made an impression by finishing with four points (three goals and one assist) in five Division 1B games.
