Unsurprisingly, Wayne Rooney, the manager of New Plymouth Argyle, has brought on board one of his old buddies from Birmingham City.

After leaving Birmingham City, Wayne Rooney gave Pete Shuttleworth a position at Plymouth Argyle.

Shuttleworth, who was appointed deputy head coach, was almost certain to accompany Rooney to Home Park following the former Blues manager’s selection by Plymouth for a Championship position. Before moving to the Blues last October, Shuttleworth was a member of Rooney’s designated coaching staff at Derby County and DC United.

“I have known Pete for a long time because we worked together at previous football clubs,” Rooney remarked. He is a fantastic coach who shares the same footballing values as Argyle and me. He is also a fantastic motivator and possesses a thorough understanding of tactical and performance analysis.

In the end, he is a wonderful man who embodies all the ideals that the football team and I want, and he will be a wonderful addition to our present coaching staff. In just a few weeks, preseason will begin, and I am excited to have him join the Argyle team and collaborate closely with him.
