Hibernian and Rotherham United Will Face Off For Former Coventry City Player

While Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town, and Rotherham United have expressed interest in former Coventry City goalkeeper Marko Marosi, SPFL team Hibernian is anxious to take him on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of June, and many clubs have been linked to signing him. He is expected to leave Shrewsbury. Prior to joining the Shrews in 2021, he was a player for Coventry City, Wigan Athletic, Doncaster Rovers, and Barnoldswick Town.
Prior to his departure, Marosi made 147 appearances for the League One team, including 35 clean sheets.
Prior to securing the signing of Arthur Okonkwo, the Shropshire Star linked Wrexham, Huddersfield Town, Birmingham City, and Rotherham.
Alan Nixon now claims that Hibernian is the most recent team to be connected to a transfer for the former Slovakian youth international. This coincides with information from the same source indicating that Stevenage is interested in Hibernian goalkeeper JoJo Wollacott.
What’s next for Marko Marosi?
Marosi is an excellent goalkeeper for the level, bringing a wealth of experience from his time at Coventry City, Doncaster Rovers, and Shrewsbury Town. He is also a great value, coming in on a free transfer.
The Shropshire Star even went so far as to state that the move was anticipated. It was anticipated that he would be collaborating with Steve Evans at Rotherham United. But as of right now, he hasn’t signed with a new club, and that might be due to the increased attention his availability has attracted.
After acquiring Okonkwo after his exit from Arsenal, Wrexham appears to be eliminated from the competition; Hibernian and the other two relegated Championship teams remain in contention.
It appears like Hibs are getting ready for Wollacott’s exit, which would leave the goalkeeping staff thin even with his lack of playing time.
