Rangers striker Danilo is expected to return to action after the next international break, believes David Edgar.

The Heart and Hand podcast host was asked about the Brazilian after he had to undergo a second knee surgery.

The 25-year-old has just played one game this season for Gers, against Ross County, in which he found the back of the net.

Edgar wrote on X: “I think after [international break] but that’s not official.”

Rangers will be keen on Danilo’s return from injury

Known for his intelligent movement and clinical finishing, the Brazilian, who has suffered multiple setbacks, certainly adds a dimension of unpredictability and efficiency in the box that Gers have struggled to replicate in his absence.

His knack for scoring from tight angles and poaching opportunities in the six-yard box, provides Philippe Clement with a reliable goal threat and the Belgian will be hoping he can put his fitness woes to bed.

Moreover, his understanding of the game, particularly in pressing scenarios, helps him win the ball back quickly, transitioning from defence to attack with pace.

When fit, Danilo’s return could revitalise Rangers’ attack, offering a direct goal-scoring threat and enhancing the team’s performance both in domestic and European competitions.
