Ex-Birmingham City star valued at £3 million is desired by the host of Championship Clubs.

Journalist Darren Witcoop posted on Twitter (X) that a number of Championship teams are interested in loaning out former Birmingham City loanee Jay Stansfield ahead of the upcoming season.

The striker, who was arguably the Blues’ best player last season while on a season-long loan, is back with Fulham, his parent club. At the club’s end-of-season awards ceremony, Stansfield would win every prize conceivable, including all five for the men’s team.

Despite only being a loan player, the 21-year-old became Blues’ talisman and did everything he could to keep them up. Despite falling just short, it is clear that the striker has an incredibly exciting future ahead of him.

For Birmingham he’d put up 12 goals and two assists in the second tier last term, progressing on his loan spell in League One with Exeter City the season prior. During his time with the Grecians, Stansfield would net nine times and supply a further seven assists, which included a hat-trick in the final game of the season against Morecambe.

His past two loan stints have served as a clear indication that he is a player to watch in the future. According to journalist Darren Witcoop, a number of Championship clubs are interested in signing the England Under-21 international striker, therefore it’s possible that he will go out on loan again the next season.
