As Marc Guehi gets ready to move to Newcastle, Crystal Palace has already placed a bid for a new center defender.

Director of Football at Selhurst Park Dougie Freedman hasn’t spent any time in trying to find the England international’s replacement.

Guehi is anticipated to sign a £60 million contract with Newcastle later this week, as reported by the Telegraph. This comes as a severe blow to Oliver Glasner, who has already lost Michael Olise, since the Magpies have begun negotiations with the Eagles.

But now, Crystal Palace has moved swiftly to bid for what appears to be Marc Guehi’s replacement.

Nasser Djiga was bid on by Crystal Palace.
According to a report from 226foot, Crystal Palace has put up an offer to sign Nasser Djiga.

The Serbian powerhouses have placed a €5 million (£4.3 million) valuation on the Red Star Belgrade No. 24. The central defender’s representatives confirmed to 226foot that both Crystal Palace and RC Lens have made offers for him.
