**Carter Maintains Hopeful Attitude Regarding Back Injury**
ARLINGTON – Evan Carter, the 22-year-old rookie, openly acknowledges that this season has been challenging for him. He has been sidelined since May 28 due to a stress reaction in his back, which has interrupted an impressive start to his professional career.
Carter began the season as one of MLB Pipeline’s top five prospects after making his major league debut late last year. He had a strong showing, batting .306 with a 1.058 OPS over 23 regular-season games. He also played a significant role during the Rangers’ World Series run, appearing in all 17 postseason games and maintaining a .300 batting average with a .917 OPS.
