CASTLEFO….: Craig Lingard on the number of 2025 acquisitions for the Castleford Tigers and possible arrivals prior to the transfer market closing

“Three or four” players, according to Craig Lingard, are expected to join the Castleford Tigers for the 2025 Super League campaign.

Throughout the year, the Tigers have extended the contracts of several players, including Sam Hall, Liam Horne, and Cain Robb.

With the exception of Tex Hoy, hardly many outside signings have been made by the team.

Lingard does not anticipate any further signings before August 2, when the 2024 transfer window closes.

Lingard stated, “Unless we hear differently, I do not think we will be doing anything before the transfer window closes. I would like to bring some people in to get a boost for the last ten games of the season.”

However, we must ensure that our actions are in the best interests of the club. As a coach, you want to add players to bolster your team.

“In terms of injuries, we do not have too many out. We do have five or six long-term absences that will last until the conclusion of the season, but middle linebackers like George Hill and Sam Hall are back.
