BRIGHTON REPORT: Club working on “final details” with Brighton player; Seagulls and club have agreed on a transfer.

We reported on rumors from the Dutch media last Friday that Feyenoord had made a serious effort to sign Brighton & Hove Albion’s Facundo Buonanotte on a loan basis.

Additionally, rumors circulated that they had discussions about a possible deal this summer with the Premier League team.

The Brighton player is now being pursued by the Eredivisie team.

1908.nl reports that Feyenoord and the Seagulls have a “agreement in principle” for Feyenoord to recruit the 19-year-old on a loan deal.

There are rumors that the Dutch club has also negotiated a purchase option as a condition of the agreement, but the cost is “quite high.” The amount has not been disclosed, but according to the report, it is around twice as much as Feyenoord’s current club record signing.
Feyenoord paid €8.3 million for club record signing Dávid Hancko, which means permanent Buonanotte’s stay would cost at least €16.5 million.

1908.nl reports that the Dutch team needs to work out the “final details” with the midfield player in order to finalize the loan transfer after reaching an agreement with Brighton. He will be their first signing of this window if the transaction closes.

After signing with Brighton in January 2023, the Argentine has played in 50 matches across all competitions.
