BREAKINGNEWS: UAB Volleyball Announces Promotional Schedule for 2024

Birmingham, Alabama In preparation for their second season in the AAC, UAB Volleyball has played 14 home games in Bartow Arena. Twelve themed evenings, including SEC matchups, a home tournament, and a ton of other events, are scheduled for the Green and Gold’s home arena.

Events catering to a wide range of interests, ages, and Blazer Nation supporters will be held at UAB off the court. Fans can take advantage of in-game bonuses and watch the skill on the court during events like Greek Night and 2000s Night.

ADVANCED SCHEDULE
This season for the 2024 Season, spectators may enjoy a number of promotions, including Greek Night, International Night, and Dig For Donuts.

For the 2024 season, the complete promotional calendar is as follows:

Alcorn State/Miss State, August 30-31

“Save Your Stub”: Blazer Volleyball’s opening game against the Alcorn State Braves on Friday, August 30, will cost $3 for those who saved their ticket stub from the UAB football game at Alcorn State on August 29.
“Youth Night”: The Blazers’ Saturday showdown against Mississippi State is admission-only for any Blazer Volleyball Camp alumni who are dressed in uniform.
September 19–21 (Showdown in Alabama)

“Student Appreciation Night” or “2000s Night”: With a throwback to the past, the Blazers take on South Alabama on Day One of the Alabama Showdown. Grab your MP3 player and shades. Between sets, students can enter raffles to win gifts.

“Gang Green Night”/”Dig for Donuts”: Fans are invited to attend Friday’s Blazers game against Auburn as part of Gang Green, the official Student Section of UAB Athletics. Donuts are also given to spectators as they enter the arena.
“Mental Health Awareness”: A mental health awareness match will be played by UAB Volleyball. Green clothing is encouraged for the fans.
27 September (UTSA)

“Greek Night”: All Greeks, IFC, and NPHC are welcome to support the Blazers when they play UTSA.
October 4th, Kansas State

“International Night”: Faculty, staff, and students from other countries are welcome to see the Blazers play Wichita State.
October 11–13 (Charlotte/Temple)

“SAAC Night”: Student-athletes are welcome to see the Blazers play Temple.
“Special Olympics Night”: Athletes from Special Olympics are invited to UAB Volleyball’s Sunday afternoon match against Charlotte.
October 20 (Tulane)

“Halloween Match”/BBKC: Attend the Green and Gold’s game against Tulane dressed in your best Halloween attire.Members of the Blazer Buddies Kids Club will receive additional promotions from the Blazers.
November 3–11 (ECU/UNT)

“Homecoming Weekend”
As the Blazers play the Mean Green on Friday to start homecoming weekend, they will host Alumni Night activities. Register by clicking this link.
The Blazers’ Senior Day game against East Carolina on Sunday will honor their four seniors.

Memphis, November 6

“Salute to Service”/”Canned Food Drive”: Tickets to the Blazers’ rivalry game against Memphis are $3 for active and retired military personnel with a valid military ID. Patrons receive $3 admittance if they bring three canned goods.
PERMANENT EVENTS:

“Post-Match Autograph Session”: Following their cooling period, spectators can interact and sign autographs with UAB Volleyball players.

2024–25 GOLD CARD
Now available is the 2024–25 Gold Card. You can attend all home baseball, softball, women’s basketball, volleyball, men’s soccer, women’s basketball, and Regiions Field & Young Memorial events if you have the 2024–25 Gold Card. Neither AAC nor NCAA Championship events accept this card.
