Howe’s team’s league form suffered as a result of the European adventures; they lost six of their seven games from December 7, 2023, to January 13, 2024. However, a strong March and April helped them secure a better final league position. Due to Manchester United’s victory in the FA Cup final, supporters’ plans for the Magpies to qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League were derailed.
