Birmingham City Is To Use £1.5 Million Of The Transfer Budget As An Agreement Approaches..

According to sources in Sweden, Birmingham City and Heracles Almelo have agreed to a £1.5 million deal for forward Emil Hansson.

This summer window, the Blues appear set to show off their financial power as they have already acquired Alfie May, the top scorer in League One, from rivals for promotion, Charlton Athletic. It’s been reported that the club could need to spend about £20 million to fulfill their goal of getting back into the Championship right away.

Now that Hansson has joined the team, they are certain to bolster their front line even further, according to Swedish newspaper Expressen. A medical examination is scheduled for soon, and a charge of about £1.5 million (20 million Swedish Krona) has apparently been agreed upon.

After an incredible season in which he made 36 appearances in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie and scored 16 goals and supplied 19 assists, Hansson played in the Erdivisie last season, making 24 appearances and providing five goals and six assists.

The player has spent time at Hannover 96, Brann, Feyenoord, RKC Waalwijk, and Fortuna Sittard in the past. His international career has been uneven; he began with the Swedish Under 17s and then moved to Norway. He represented Norway until 2019, at which point he returned to Sweden to play for their under-21 squad.

Birmingham City putting forth a demonstration?
In all likelihood, Hansson shouldn’t be relegating to League One in England, but based on the stories, that’s precisely what seems to be occurring. This shows the influence the Blues still have, whether it’s due to their intentions or their resources, even after being demoted.
