Breaking: Four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley goes to Florida State over Georgia and LSU.

Four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley commits to Florida State.
Alpharetta, Georgia At a ceremony held on Tuesday at his school, Milton four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley chose Florida State over Georgia and LSU. Only a little more than 48 hours have passed since his formal visit to FSU. He intended to meet with his parents after leaving Tallahassee to choose the “best fit” and a location that “check[ed] all the boxes.”
For the 6-foot-4, 195-pound wide receiver, it appears that FSU is that place. He selected the Seminoles over the Bulldogs, who were the popular choice during the last several months of his recruitment, and the Tigers, where his mother also attended and his father was an All-SEC defensive end from 1994 to 1997.
Wiley took a Florida State hat off the table and announced, “With all that said, I’ll be attending the University of Florida State.” “Go ‘Noles.”
Cheers didn’t start until after he started chopping while wearing the hat, giving the impression that the room was surprised and waiting for a switch in the last second.
The moderator then questioned him on why FSU was the selection.
“They’ve recruited me since I was a freshman,” Wiley stated. “We’ve done a great job of fostering process trust. I think I can accomplish my objectives over there.”
It goes without saying that Mike Norvell and company have won big with this. Georgia was the subject of every prediction made on 247Sports.com’s Crystal Ball. In the process, he had also taken into account schools like Alabama, Auburn, USC, and others.
He had 14 touchdowns and 1,473 receiving yards on 68 receptions as a junior. With each grab, he averaged 21.7 yards. He is a long, lean pass catcher with a good long speed and catch radius. He is valuable to FSU since he is a versatile player that can be used all over the field.
They compare me to Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson because they told me I will be playing both indoors and outdoors. Wiley stated this past weekend, “They used to play both inside and outside, so yeah, like move around.”
“It’s important because you would want to be able to play multiple positions on the pitch. It merely demonstrates your greater worth,” he continued.
FSU put a lot of effort on obtaining Wiley. He arrived on campus for a game in October of last year. That’s when the two started getting really close to one another. He was brought in for a Junior Day in January of this year, then on April 2nd, he returned for an unofficial visit. In the last week, they concluded with an official visit.
He is the first Seminoles wide receiver pledge in the 2025 class. Along with quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. of Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin and offensive lineman Solomon Thomas of Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines, he becomes the sixth commitment in FSU’s class and the third on the offensive side of the ball. According to the 247Sports.com Composite Recruiting Rankings, Wiley is the 15th best wide receiver in the 2025 class and the 136th best prospect overall. In the Peach State, he is regarded as the No. 19 talent for his class.
He is ranked somewhat lower by 247Sports.com, which has him at No. 223 overall, No. 25 at his position, and No. 32 among wide receivers in the country.
