Lincoln City has had a busy week as they have announced the signing of a new goalkeeper and the exit of an existing one.

Jeacock has agreed to a two-year contract with Lincoln City, with an option for an additional year.

The 23-year-old left Birmingham this summer after the Blues were relegated from the Championship. He had joined the team when he was eight years old. He made four appearances in the first team before leaving the squad by mutual consent.

Later in the 2021–2022 season, Long made his league debut, winning 2-1 away to Plymouth Argyle.

During his tenure with the Imps, the 21-year-old has also been out on loan at Gainsborough Trinity, Drogheda United, Bromley, and Falkirk. However, he will now make a permanent return to Hayes Lane.

He is ranked number three, behind new signing Jamie Pardington and newcomer Lukas Jensen. According to Jez George’s statement, he will be sent on loan prior to the forthcoming campaign.

Sam Long attended the Imps’ youth academy and is expected to gain more playing time by relocating permanently. With this acquisition, Bromley has a “keeper with potential” who, fortunately, has prior club experience.
