Rangers transfer news as Hamza Igamane development emerges

Rangers are expected to confirm the £2million signing of AS Far striker Hamza Igamane in the coming days, according to Football Scotland.

The news outlet reported on 28 June that the 21-year-old is set to be the sixth signing after Oscar Cortes, Jefte, Clinton Nsiala, Connor Barron and Liam Kelly.

He has agreed a five-year deal at Ibrox and will be moving to Glasgow this summer. [The Scottish Sun, 23 June]

Rangers have not announced the Hamza Igamane transfer for days

The 21-year-old appeared to be on course to move to Ibrox for a while but the announcement is still not made.

It seemed imminent until a few days ago, but the Moroccan was spotted in Brazil so it may not happen until he’s back.

However, this is unlikely to be an indicator that the deal is off as a spokesperson for AS FAR confirmed that the striker will be moving to Ibrox, as quoted by the Daily Record on 23 June.

Until 22 June, it was understood that the Moroccan had not acquired his visa yet for a transfer to Ibrox and it remains to be seen if that has been done. [Foot Mercato]

It could be one of the reasons why no announcement is made yet and once things progress on that front, they might then confirm the deal.

Igamane is not a name that most Gers fans will have heard of before the links and it remains to be seen what sort of impact he has once he joins.
