Hearts and Hibs are getting ready for the new campaign to begin. In the meanwhile, the Edinburgh duo has the opportunity to sign some fresh players.

The Scottish Premiership’s 2024–2025 schedule has been revealed, and clubs all throughout the nation now know when their matches against each other will take place.

Rangers is the team Celtic wants to win the championship back from, and Hearts wants to get closer to the two after being in third place the previous season.

Livingston has been replaced by Dundee United, who returned to the top division after winning the second tier under former Aberdeen and St. Mirren manager Jim Goodwin. In the meantime, Ross County survived the relegation play-offs by defeating Raith Rovers.

Here are the dates of the matches between Hearts and Hibs…

The first match between the two will go off at 15:00 at Easter Road. At this point, it’s unclear if it will be chosen for Sky Sports coverage.

On Boxing Day, Thursday, December 26, 2024, Hearts will host Hibs at Tynecastle, with a 12:30 KO. Sky Sports will broadcast this joyous match.

Saturday, March 1, 2025 The team led by Steven Naismith will return to Easter Road on March 1, 2026, for a KO at 15:00. Sky Sports hasn’t decided on this yet.

Thus far, Musa Drammeh (Sevilla), Yan Dhanda (Ross County), Daniel Oyegoke (Brentford), James Penrice (Livingston), and Blair Spittal (Motherwell) are the new additions for Hearts.

This summer has been busy for Hearts thus far. Blair Spittal should give their midfield greater depth, while they have strengthened their striking department by bringing in Musa Drammeh and Yan Dhanda from Sevilla and Ross County, respectively.

James Penrice and Daniel Oyegoke have strengthened their defensive lines, and Ryan Fulton will add additional competition between the sticks.

Lawrence Shankland, a vital forward for the Jam Tarts, is someone they will be hoping to hang onto. For the previous few years, he has been their primary player up top, and it would be difficult to replace his objectives.

Warren O’Hora (MK Dons) and Josef Bursik (Club Brugge, loan) are the two most recent additions to Hibs.

Hibs have taken their time hiring new players. Former Stoke City player Josef Bursik will aim to establish himself as their first choice, and Jojo Wollacott’s departure may result from his arrival.

After leaving MK Dons, Warren O’Hora became a free agent. To bolster their defense, he was signed on a free transfer. Last season, he assisted the Dons in making it to the EFL playoffs, where they ultimately fell to Crawley Town.
