Souths interim coach Ben Hornby paid tribute to the mental toughness of 19-year-old Rabbitohs winger Tyrone Munro after a starring performance against Penrith despite enduring a tragic week.
Munro’s mum passed away on Wednesday and then his uncle passed away on Friday morning, yet the teenager rejected the option of missing the match.
The youngster was on point for South Sydney in the 34-12 loss, scoring two tries and topping his team with 166 running metres in just his third NRL game of the season.
His teammates wore black armbands to pay their respects and showed him plenty of love after scoring both his tries.
