After emerging victorious from Super Bowl LII in 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles have been seeking methods to overcome setbacks and secure another championship.

In Super Bowl LVII, they narrowly lost to the Kansas City Chiefs despite their best efforts.

After that, the Eagles had a fantastic NFL season in 2023 until faltering in the second half of the season and losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.

While Philadelphia will be hoping to recover in the 2024 NFL season, supporters will still be remembering their most recent championship.

Mack Hollins recently talked with Chris Long about their championship run, illustrating how even athletes can become engrossed in nostalgia for the past.

During their conversation, Hollins revealed his favorite part of that season via Green Light with Chris Long.

“I think just the way that everybody kind of hated us,” Hollins said. “Like, it was so great. Like nobody thought we could win any games.”

 

There was definitely some level of hatred toward Philadelphia that season and it was likely due to their brash nature on the field.

Typically, fans like to root against teams and players who act like they’ve already won and that fit the Eagles’ personality at the time.
