The summer transfer market is expected to be quite busy this week as teams try to close transactions in time for the 2023–24 accounting deadline.
It is commonly known that Chelsea is one of the teams who could have to achieve financial parity by June 30 to continue to be in compliance with the Premier League’s sustainability and profitability requirements (PSR). There may be a transfer in the upcoming days since Aston Villa, Everton, Newcastle, Leicester, and Nottingham Forest are all supposedly in the same boat.
Tosin Adarabioyo, a center back whose contract at Fulham ended, was said to be joining Chelsea earlier this month. Chelsea has already been very active in the summer window. Estevao Willian, a teenage forward from Palmeiras, was also signed by the Blues over the weekend. He will formally join the west London team in the summer. The 17-year-old will sign a contract with the potential to earn up to £51 million.
But, business is not anticipated to end there. According to reports, Chelsea and many other parties are close to finalizing a number of other agreements, which may be revealed this week. To capitalize on the market, the Blues might also try to add a few surprise players. Football.london examines six potential transfers below that could be made in the
Kellyman, Omari
Aston Villa and Chelsea are in advanced negotiations after Chelsea made a £19 million transfer approach for Omari Kellyman, a breakout star. According to football.london, negotiations for the highly regarded 18-year-old from the West Midlands started over the weekend between the two teams. Although the Englishman has played on both the left and right wing in the past, he is most comfortable in the attacking midfield position.
According to reports, the adolescent will see the Blues on Monday for a medical, and an announcement about a deal is expected in the next few days. Kellyman signed a new contract at Villa in October after joining from Derby County two years prior. It is believed that the young player plays a similar role to Kai Havertz, an Arsenal player who was formerly at Chelsea.
