Following the retirement of former Scotland international David Marshall and amid rumors over Jojo Wollacott’s future, the 23-year-old former Stoke keeper relocated to Easter Road. Scotland midfielder coveted by Rangers

According to reports, Rangers is considering a summer transfer for Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean. The 32-year-old has two years remaining on his Norwich City contract, but he has never disguised his desire to play for the teams that inspired him as a young player. The Daily Record claims that McLean may soon realize his ambition of playing at Ibrox, as Rangers are getting ready to make a summer move for the former Aberdeen and St. Mirren star. But any action would depend on Norwich’s desire to make a trade after Johannes Hoff Thorup, the new manager, takes over. McLean has been a member of the Canaries since 2018 and was named player of the year by the team the previous year. He played as a substitute in all three of Scotland’s Euro 2024 matches against Germany, Switzerland, and Hungary. In 2021, McLean expressed interest in playing for Rangers and said, “I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t something I’d want to do,” in an interview with the Athletic. Play for your boyhood team is what you want to do when you’re a child.”
