According to The Mirror, Birmingham City is thinking about making a summer transfer for Burnley goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

After being relegated last season, Birmingham City is getting ready for life in League One.
Many were surprised when the Blues were eliminated from the Championship.

Under John Eustace, Birmingham City started the season ranked in the top six; but, after his removal and the signing of Wayne Rooney, their performance declined.

Under new manager Chris Davies, they are preparing for the third tier after being demoted on the last day of competition.

Peacock-Farrell was loaned to Denmark for the previous season. He preserved 11 clean sheets in 28 appearances across all competitions for the Danish premier team.

The 27-year-old, who joined Burnley in 2019, has only appeared in 24 games for the Clarets as he approaches the end of his contract.

After he returns to Turf Moor, his future is still out in the air, but Birmingham City is keen to sign him as they look to bolster their goalkeeping depth.

The wisest action
Right now, Peacock-Farrell only gets consistent playing time when he goes on loan.

The former Leeds United goalkeeper would prefer to finalize a permanent relocation to a different location so that he can settle down and concentrate just on his football career.

Peacock-Farrell is a goalkeeper who is more than capable, and his experience at this level is something that Davies might use to his advantage.

A prompt comeback
Although Birmingham City is taking a chance this summer, its goal for the upcoming season is to get promoted right away.

Nonetheless, the Blues cannot afford to make mistakes in their summer operations, and future issues may arise if they are not promoted this year.

It’s difficult to become proficient in League One. After being taken by surprise in the past, a number of prominent clubs took their time to make a comeback to the Championship. This season, promotion is feasible, but it requires careful planning.
