Erik ten Hag’s choice to stay with Manchester United has thrilled Marcus Rashford, who is eager to recommit to the team of his youth.

Rashford had a lackluster season as United ended a pitiful eighth in the Premier League standings, much like many of his teammates.

The one bright spot in an otherwise terrible season was an FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, which left Rashford crying as he left the field after the game.

Some interpreted Rashford’s emotional outburst as an indication that this might have been his final game for the team, but The Sun claims he wants to stay at Old Trafford.

Rashford hopes to return in the preseason feeling revitalized and ready to take the lead in Ten Hag’s next chapter of the team now that the uncertainty around his immediate future has been cleared up.

The 26-year-old has long been admired by Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 powerhouses presently searching for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

But with Rashford prepared to dig in and put the off-field issues that plagued him last season behind him, the French giants will have to go elsewhere.

Since Rashford was left out of the England squad for Euro 2024, he will almost certainly benefit from having a complete summer off.
