Supporters of Crystal Palace may find themselves keeping a close eye on events as negotiations over a possible £30 million move between two legendary European powerhouses continue.

Because, as Oliver Glasner’s side await their latest signing of the summer window, talks appear to be advancing regarding a deal that could accelerate Ismaila Sarr’s proposed switch to Selhurst Park.

A week ago, HITC revealed that Crystal Palace and the former Watford speedster had reached a personal terms agreement.

The Senegal international, who lost out to Aston Villa for Hull City’s talisman Jaden Philogene, looks to have emerged as Palace’s top target to cover the Michael Olise-shaped hole on the right flank.

Sarr has accepted a five-year deal in South London, with a £12 million offer from The Eagles.

Even though things have moved a little more slowly than Crystal Palace would have preferred, Sarr is still expected to return to England soon after a challenging season with Marseille in France.
