‘Manager doesn’t like him’ – Four Lads’ Stevie Clifford moots another Rangers exit this summer ….

According to Four Lads’ Stevie Clifford, Philippe Clement is not a fan of Todd Cantwell and is probably going to depart Rangers this summer.
In an interview with Rangers Review on July 22, Clifford hinted that he would not even remain at Ibrox for the entire summer, expressing amazement at the idea of Cantwell having a long-term future there.
Since relocating to Glasgow, the 26-year-old has had difficulty and has been in and out of the team frequently. He could be joining the likes of Ryan Jack, Borna Barisic, John Lundstram, Kemar Roofe, and others who have already passed away.
Clifford stated at 25:23, “I would be surprised if Todd Cantwell had a long-term future at Rangers. I’d be surprised if Todd Cantwell survives past this window. It’s quite obvious that the manager doesn’t like him. Even in their brief interactions, it’s clear he’s not his biggest fan.
“It’s a shame. Todd Cantwell is a guy I like. He is a player I like but he clearly doesn’t fit into what Philippe Clement is trying to do.”
Cantwell has had ample opportunity to prove himself at Ibrox but has struggled to consistently perform under different managers. Since joining the club in January 2023, he has shown flashes of his talent but has failed to maintain a high level of performance over an extended period.
Despite his potential, the English midfielder has been unable to adapt to the demands of the Scottish Premiership and has found himself in and out of the team.
Given the investment Rangers made to bring Cantwell to the club, it is understandable that there is a desire to recoup some of that fee. With the player seemingly not fitting into Clement’s plans and struggling to meet expectations, it may be in the best interests of both parties for Cantwell to move on this summer.
The Ibrox outfit should aim to sell Cantwell for a reasonable fee that reflects his potential and the investment made, while also allowing the player to find a new club where he can hopefully rediscover his best form
