As per Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa have struck a deal with Barcelona to sign defender Clement Lenglet on loan. The 28-year-old is surplus to requirements at Camp Nou and has been touted to leave although no move had materialized. However, while the Frenchman had attracted interest from Saudi Arabia and Sevilla, reports indicated that the Villians were the front-runners.
Romano had even reported, earlier in the day, that Aston Villa were closing in on a potential deal and the Italian has now revealed that an agreement has finally been reached. Not only that, Lenglet has reportedly approved the move with the defender now set to travel to sign the documents.
