BREAKING EWS: Rangers will offload first-team players following the “alarming” transfer admission of Philippe Clement.

According to Gordan Dalziel, Rangers will try to trade “one or two players” from Ibrox this summer following Philippe Clement’s “alarming” transfer admission.

During the Gers’ preseason training camp in the Netherlands, the Light Blues boss disclosed that the team would need to offload players before bringing in additional quality in the upcoming weeks.

While Clyde 1 pundit Dalziel believes the Light Blues will recoup fees for some outgoing stars this summer, he has admitted he is surprised to see Clement “waste” money on unproven players.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard on Monday (15 July) he said: “I think if you went to the manager and said, look there’s not a lot of money there to spend, you wouldn’t be spending it on players that you have to wait six, seven, eight months for down the line.

“You’ve got to hit the ground running, they’ve got an important season ahead and you wouldn’t waste that money.
