CBS Philadelphia, PA In NBA free agency, the Philadelphia 76ers made quick decisions, adding nine-time All-Star Paul George, extending Tyrese Maxey’s contract, and doing a lot more.

Daryl Morey, president of basketball operations for the Sixers, probably won’t make any more major acquisitions, but he still needs to assemble the rest of Philadelphia’s squad before the 2024–2025 campaign begins.

These five players make sense for the Sixers to sign to veteran’s minimum contracts.

1. The Kyle Lowry

After Maxey, the Sixers still need a backup point guard, thus it makes sense to bring back Philadelphia native Kyle Lowry on a minimum contract.

Last season, Lowry went back to his home team to try to win a title, but sadly, Philly’s season ended in the first round of the playoffs against the New York Knicks.

In 23 games for the Sixers the previous season, Lowry, 38, averaged 8.0 points, 4.6 assists, and a 40.4% three-point percentage.

2. The IV Lonnie Walker
The previous season was spent by Reading, Pennsylvania, native Lonnie Walker IV with the Brooklyn Nets. The 25-year-old averaged 9.7 points per game while shooting 38.4% from three-point range while playing in 58 games.

The Sixers added Kelly Oubre Jr. and veteran guard Eric Gordon, but they still lack depth in the backcourt, particularly after Buddy Hield and De’Anthony Melton joined the Golden State Warriors.
