NFL Season 2024: Three potential trade destinations for the Dolphins QB Tagovailoa Tua

Given that Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins have not reached a contract deal, is a trade imminent? Listen, there’s a greater chance that the Dolphins will trade Tua Tagovailoa each day, right? Although it doesn’t seem realistic right now, given how many significant QB trades the league has witnessed over the past several seasons, it should be taken into consideration.

With four winning seasons under his belt and two seasons as one of the NFL’s most prolific passers, the Miami Dolphins might receive a significant return for their quarterback. “Touchdown Tua” is not some scrub, therefore let’s not act that way.

Let’s examine the top three trade targets for Tua Tagovailoa in front of the 2024 NFL Draft.

This could be a wise course of action. The new head coach Dave Canales and general manager Dan Morgan have no relationship to Bryce Young other than the fact that he is the quarterback number one. The group that selected Young first overall in the 2023 NFL Draft is no longer in charge of the team. Furthermore, although 2023 was not Young’s fault, he also didn’t exactly do well.

Furthermore, why wait around if Canales and the rest of his team don’t think he could improve in year two? As I previously stated, it is highly improbable that Tua Tagovailoa will be traded, but since he is still without a new contract, it must be considered a possibility.

The Miami Dolphins would acquire a young quarterback in an amazing offensive environment, while the Carolina Panthers would acquire a franchise quarterback.

The Raiders of Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Raiders appear set to start 2024 with either Gardner Minshew or Aidan O’Connell at quarterback after missing out on all six first-round selections in the QB draft. That’s not ideal, people. Tua Tagovailoa may be the franchise passer the Raiders have been waiting for.

And as ridiculous as it sounds, Aidan O’Connell can’t be written off after a strong rookie campaign, but if the price was right, I would assume the Raiders would go after an improvement of this kind. There would be enough of mouths to feed with Tagovailoa passing to Michael Mayer, Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers, and Davante Adams on offense.

The Giants of New York

Of all the teams, the New York Giants might have had the worst offseason. The Giants decided to select Malik Nabers, the second-best wide receiver in the class, with the sixth overall pick while there were still several first-round quarterbacks available. General Manager Joe Schoen taught us a valuable lesson on how not to construct a football team. He has already made plans for 2024.

Unless Tua Tagovailoa is acquired by the Giants and Miami Dolphins in a crazy transaction, Daniel Jones or Drew Lock will start as quarterback. The Giants would finally have a reliable quarterback for the future, and the Dolphins would be able to ship him out of the AFC—something I’m sure they desire to accomplish in any trade.

Furthermore, I believe Schoen is getting close to reaching his breaking point with this squad and may not have much time left in the offseason to locate a franchise quarterback.
