Craig Lingard cautions the Wigan Warriors versus the Castleford Tigers that if they rely on their Challenge Cup hangover, they would have a “nasty surprise.”
After discovering the hard way that the Challenge Cup kings do not suffer from hangovers, Castleford Tigers are ready for the best of Wigan Warriors.
Some have said that now is a good time to play Matt Peet’s team after the Warriors won the cup for the 21st time at Wembley last Saturday and continued to celebrate throughout the weekend.
In 2022, Castleford might have been complicit in that mistake as Wigan secured a convincing victory at Wheldon Road to complement their Tottenham triumph over Huddersfield Giants.
In front of their fourth encounter of the season, Craig Lingard’s team has talked about that match this week.
